CHARLESTON ARTIST GUILD

THE Charleston Artist Guild (CAG) was founded well over a half-century ago by a small group of local artists—including Anne Worsham Richardson, Alfred Heber Hutty and Elizabeth O’Neill Verner—who sought a way to display their works, network with other artists and become more involved in the community.

Today, more than 70 of the Lowcountry’s most respected artists are featured in the CAG Gallery at 160 East Bay St. It’s Charleston’s premier gallery and the best place for high-quality local art. A nonprofit organization, CAG fulfills the vision of its founders and members by hosting a number of annual community outreach programs for youth, residents of area Alzheimer’s care units and others.

Every March and September, new artists are juried into the gallery. In July, the gallery will reopen with safety precautions from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m daily.
