Tea brings back warm childhood memories for Butter Blossoms owners Emily Herr and Michelle DiTullio. “We would often seek out tea rooms during family vacations and getaways, always excited to experience the charming tradition of taking tea together, slowing down and making new memories over clotted cream and scones,” Herr says. So when the mother-daughter team decided to open up their West Ashley bakery, they knew that it had to have a tea party room.

Butter Blossoms started as an online venture specializing in handcrafted shortbread cookies made with exceptionally fresh, high-quality ingredients. They now sell everything from praline cupcakes to lavender shortbread cookies in the shop while hosting bridal showers, birthday parties and rehearsal dinners in the vintage-inspired, pretty-in-pink tea party room.

Located just across from the bakery and up the garden porch steps, the tea party room has both indoor and outdoor spaces joined by French doors. “Our clients and brides have use of the entire space so their party is completely private, not like in a restaurant where you are sharing the space,” Herr says. “Each bridal shower, tea party, birthday party or intimate wedding is customized for each client through our unique party packages. As we care for every detail of the celebration, the host of the party is able to relax and enjoy the party with her guests.”
