For floral designer Anna Glac, flowers aren’t just a gift that should be given lightly. “Flowers are such a luxury, and everyone who buys or receives flowers should be overwhelmed with their beauty,” she says. “No matter how small or big the arrangement or bouquet is.”

A native of Poland, Glac first found herself drawn to floral design when exploring the palaces of the Polish countryside. “I will always remember the tour of one of the palaces when I was 10 years old,” she says. “Walking through the beautiful rooms, each one adorned with flowers from the garden, thinking how much I would love to one day be able to do something like that.”

Glac sees a bit of Poland in the Holy City, and it constantly inspires her creative work, whether she’s arranging classic hydrangeas, foxglove or, her specialty, preserved flowers. “I love living here,” she says. “Charleston is such a beautiful city, a splendid backdrop for a wedding.”

Clients are drawn to her strong sense of style and detail. “I believe that all my designs have character and are well thought out,” she says. “From table centerpieces, large-scale arrangements, flower crowns to bridal bouquets, all are created and detailed with love and passion for flowers and the people and places that will receive them.”
